What does God’s word tell us about giving?

God spoke to Moses: “Speak to the Levites, tell them, when you get the tithe from the People of Israel, the inheritance that I have assigned to you, you must tithe that tithe and present it as an offering to God.” Numbers 18:25-26 (Message)

What are we to do with God’s gifts?

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20 (NKJV)

How is New Creation fulfilling God’s commands?

Ten percent (tithe)of all gifts(cash and non cash) received are designated specifically to Mission Ministry. These monies are used for doing God’s work, reaching out to all who have physical and spiritual needs in Perham, the state, the nation, and to the ends of the earth.

Guidelines and Parameters for Missions Activities

Disbursement of funds or support of activities must meet one or more of the following criteria:

Fulfills one or more provisions of God’s commandment to make disciples of all nations as stated in Matthew 28: 19-20.
Fulfills one or more of the objectives of NCLC Mission/Vision statement.
Supports ongoing activities in the Perham area that meets the objectives of NCLC’s Mission/Vision Statement.
If possible to meet spiritual needs whenever the physical needs are paramount. (Include bibles or other appropriate inspirational items with physical gifts such as food, clothing, or shelter to those in need).
